At Untethered Transport LLC, we believe that dependable transportation is about more than moving freight—it's about delivering peace of mind, building lasting relationships, and honoring our commitments.

Founded by U.S. Navy veteran, Melissa Short, Untethered Transport LLC is a Kentucky-based, veteran-owned transportation company built on the values of integrity, accountability, and hard work.

With eight years of honorable service in the United States Navy as an Aviation Electrician's Mate, Melissa developed a strong foundation in leadership, operational coordination, logistical planning, and attention to detail. Working in a fast-paced, mission-driven military environment instilled the importance of precision, adaptability, teamwork, and accountability—qualities that remain at the heart of her approach to business.

Her military experience reinforced the value of effective communication, strategic problem-solving, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism. These principles guide Untethered Transport LLC's commitment to providing customers with dependable service, transparent communication, and transportation solutions they can trust.

Untethered Transport LLC specializes in hot shot transportation, offering flexible hauling solutions for customers who need reliable, personalized service. Whether transporting equipment, materials, or time-sensitive loads, our mission is to treat every shipment with the attention and care it deserves.

As a small, veteran-owned business, we take pride in providing the personal attention and accountability that can sometimes be lost with larger carriers.
